Case Study: Restoring a Public Charging Site in Scotland
In November, Amplify EV was awarded a maintenance contract to support public EV charging infrastructure in Scotland, including a site that had been out of action for an extended period. With increasing demand for reliable charging infrastructure, bringing this site back online was a priority for both the operator and the local EV-driving community.
From the outset, our objective was clear: restore reliability and ensure the site could once again provide a dependable charging experience for drivers.
Collaborative Preparation
Ahead of our site visit, we worked closely with our partners at Fuuse, who provided essential background data and pre-visit diagnostics. This collaborative approach ensured that our engineering team had the insight needed to diagnose issues quickly and maximise the effectiveness of our first visit.
Expert Engineering on Site
With the preparation complete, Amplify EV deployed one of our engineers trained to expert level by Circontrol. Their technical depth and hands-on experience were key to rapidly identifying the root causes of the faults affecting the chargers.
The Outcome
Our structured approach and technical capability delivered immediate results:
Full operational recovery on the first visit
All chargers restored, tested, and returned to public service
A site operator with renewed confidence in uptime and performance
Why It Matters
This project reflects exactly why we place such strong emphasis on training, partnership, and proactive maintenance processes. When these elements come together, we’re able to deliver fast, reliable outcomes, helping operators reduce downtime and giving drivers the dependable charging experience they expect.
If you’re looking to enhance the performance, reliability, or management of your EV charging infrastructure, Amplify EV is ready to support you.
